When DLAK was founded 20 years ago, the vision was to provide clients support in their financial well being while managing their money in house vs out sourcing to a third party and doing it all with a client centric fee structure.


Put simply, Rob felt that most advisors were charging too much and doing too little for their fee.  When hiring a financial advisor there are three components that need to be understood: Relationship, Performance and Price.

Our first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. We want to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of my foundation of success.

Our site is filled with educational videos, articles, slideshows, and calculators designed to help you learn more. As you search our site, send me a note regarding any questions you may have about any particular investment concepts or products. We'll get back to you quickly with a thoughtful answer.

Relationship:

Put another way, how often will we meet and what will be the content of those meetings?  If you’re going to give your finances and your time to your advisor, you  need to understand what type of value you should expect to receive from that relationship.  There are a multitude of planning topics that we make sure to cover with all of our clients beyond just stocks and bonds.  All clients financial plans will include current and future tax scenarios, a cashflow analysis, Retirement Plan, Budget Review, Obligation planning and more!

Performance:

We have a 20 year track record of providing compelling returns for our clients.  We have been able to do this by utilizing both the efficient frontiers and what we call “our best ideas” where we find sectors of the economy that are historically cheap and increase our exposure to them based upon historical and statistical norms.  These change and will be different from one portfolio to the next.

Price:

We felt so strongly that our peers were charging too much and doing too little that we decided to .  Our mission bring the industry where it should be vs where it wants to be.  And if it doesn’t want to, we’ll have to accept that, but DLAK clients will receive this robust value proposition while charging clients less than our peers.  While removing layers of fees that otherwise bring no value to the investor.


While we understand that not everyone will be a DLAK client, we firmly believe that our process and value proposition is unique and pulling the financial services industry into not just a better place, but a place where it needs to be for everyone.
